How much space does the duo need?

Approximately 2m x 2m for the perfect layout.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in London but can travel anywhere in the UK or abroad. Many of our bookings are in the Home Counties. We do not charge for travel within 15 miles of UB5 4RW. For further afield there is a small fee to cover travel costs.

Do you have specific requirements on the day?

Yes. We need two armless chairs, enough space to play (approx. 2m x 2m) and a standard power socket at the performance area (for a small amp). We will provide the music stands and music pads. We also require non-alcohol refreshments for the duration.

Do you play outside?

We often play outside, if the weather conditions are good. In such cases, the performance area needs to be adequately sheltered to protect our instruments from direct sunlight and rain. We reserve the right to make judgement on the day as to whether shelter is sufficient, though we will be as flexible as possible to ensure the smooth running of the day and, to date, have always been able to perform as planned. As with most suppliers, we highly recommend having a wet weather contingency plan, especially for events outside of the summer months.

Are you able to move between venues?

Yes, we often perform for the ceremony in one location followed by the drinks reception in another. Travel time between locations is included within the booked times.

Do you take a break at all?

We usually break for 5 to 10 minutes per hour. We are happy to move breaks earlier or later to coincide with speeches etc.

What time do you arrive at the venue on the date of the event?

We will typically arrive 45 minutes before the time we are due to start, to ensure we have time to set up, tune and get ready to play.

What happens if our event runs late or overruns?

We understand that every event is unique and in the case of weddings, they tend to overrun! We are normally happy to play for a maximum of 15 minutes for free in these cases (eg. bride arriving late to the venue, the speaker coming late, dinner overrunning, etc), and always subject to our own personal commitments. However, if it runs for longer we will have to charge a fee depending on the time. If you are unsure of how long the event will go on for, let us know and we will work with you to give you the best solution.

What happens if you are already booked for the date?

It is not the first time we have been required for more than one occasion on a particular day. We will let you know whether it is possible for us to commit to your event, and if we cannot, we can suggest to you other top-quality ensembles we have worked with in the past.

What do you wear?

We are happy to tailor our dress code to best suit your event. Please let us know of any special requirements. Otherwise we will wear smart suits and dresses, typically black.

Can I choose the music?

Yes! We will work with you in choosing the music for the event that you are booking us for.
